Ohio Credit Union League (OCUL) helps the state’s credit unions reach new heights. League members benefit from educational resources, advocacy efforts, community and network, and member support. With Ohio credit unions serving one in four Ohioans, advocating for the growth and success of Ohio credit unions is OCUL’s top priority.
Fundraising and information sharing are crucial pillars of OCUL’s efforts, and the League relies on support from member credit unions and their staff.
Ladderside Comes In…
In Ladderside’s capacity as the in-house Marketing agency for Firefighters Community Credit Union (FFCCU), we are a frequent partner, sponsor, and collaborator with OCUL’s various initiatives. Ahead are samples of work and events we’ve contributed to in context to the League.
Our Contribution
1. 2026 Ohio Credit Union Foundation Golf Classic
Each year Ohio Credit Union League’s fundraising foundation, OCUF, holds a day-long golf outing for credit union leaders, staff, and stakeholders. Ladderside is becoming a regular “hole sponsor” bringing character and charisma to liven up the time golfers spend waiting for their stroke. In 2026 we offered a YETI cooler to a winning cowpoke who managed to ice out the competition and rope our “steer.” Building up anticipation for the event was a part of our contribution, debuting a promo trailer for the occasion.
2. OCUL Instagram Takeover
In order to promote the personality, mission, and variety of credit unions across our state, The League fostered a regular Instagram takeover initiative. In our capacity as the Marketing arm of Firefighters Community Credit Union, the Ladderside team has participated a number of times – often with an overarching theme or message. This is a great opportunity to bring fresh eyes to OCUL’s mission – with one of our community-focused posts becoming a top viewed video for The League. This supporting endeavor grants us the opportunity to stretch our creativity, try new and exciting methods, and bolster the image of credit unions across Ohio.
